Terence is a producer, engineer, and sound designer from Cleveland, OH. He specializes in producing Hip-Hop, Trap, Soul, and EDM. Terence also has extensive experience in mixing and recording.
Terence began his music education at Cuyahoga Community College, in 2009, where he began his studies in Recording Arts and Technology. After completing his Associates degree in Applied Sciences, Terence went further into his music education and started attending Berklee College of Music, in Boston, MA, in 2017. While at Berklee, Terence studied Electronic Production and Design, as well as Music Production and Engineering. Terence later discovered his passion for teaching, when he was given the opportunity to be a volunteer at the YMCA and teach music production to teenagers once a week. Berklee recognized Terence’s exceptional effort in his academics and outside of the classroom, presenting him with two awards in 2018 and 2019. His first award was the William R. Hearst Endowed Scholarship and his second, the Bill Pierce MLK Scholarship.
Upon graduating from Berklee College of Music, Terence continued to pursue his music career in Atlanta, GA. Not long after moving, Terence was offered a teaching position at Music Schools International in Peachtree City, Georgia. Using the skills he acquired from his YMCA experience, Terence taught students, from ages 6 to 17, audio production using a Digital Audio Workstation and live sound staging. His courses were primarily focused on working within Ableton Live, but Terence is also proficient in Pro Tools, Reason, Logic Pro X and GarageBand. When learning with Terence, his students are given the opportunity to dive deep into the structure and sound design of today's mainstream and independent music.
Outside of teaching, Terence also works at Tree Sound Studios in Norcross, GA, as an Audio and Tracking Engineer, Overnight Manager and Intern Supervisor. Tree Sound Studios is well known as Georgia’s best studio, where many A list musicians book their studio time, in which Terence has participated in several sessions. Most recently, Terence was the assistant engineer for the latest Verzuz battle between Rick Ross and 2 Chainz. When Terence is not behind the console, he is overseeing the studio interns, managing their schedules and making sure that the studio is running smoothly for both staff and clients.
Terence values hard work, professionalism and consistency. Throughout his career, Terence wants to continually grow, be challenged and most importantly, step into every opportunity with excellence.
